Landscape Labourer

CT Group specialise in supplying reliable, qualified workers for the civil construction, trades, manufacturing and warehousing industries.

We are currently seeking to employ Landscaping Labourers for grounds and track maintenance tasks at two locations Bundall (Gold Coast) & Beaudesert area - Multiple roles.

These are long term roles, working 38 hours or more each week - This position will not suit applicants with VISA restrictions.

Your duties will include (but not limited to):

• Grounds maintenance jobs e.g. irrigation repairs, fencing, facility repairs and general racecourse maintenance
• Repairs to course proper after gallops and race meetings and repairs to grass training track (divot replacement, patching divot holes, re-turfing, raking)
• Moving running rail for race meetings & undertake repairs to rails of all tracks
• External cleaning of facilities, blow or hose hard surfaces and waste removal.

To be successful & considered for this position, you must:

• Experience in a similar role or a desire to learn the required skills;
• Basic knowledge of equine racing and training surfaces (desirable but not essential – training will be provided);
• Experience in driving tractors, ATVs and operating small machinery (preferred but not essential);
• Basic knowledge in using agricultural and turf machinery used for preparing racing and training surfaces (desirable but not essential – training will be provided);
• Be physically fit and capable to complete manual tasks – the role involves manual lifting, bending, squatting and kneeling;
• You must be able to communicate clearly, take & follow directions and be proactive in the workplace
• You must be very OH&S aware and willing to commit to quality and safety procedures and work instructions.
• Have full PPE including steel capped boots, Hi Vis shirts and long pants;
• Able to commit to working Monday to Friday & working outdoors;
• Be willing and able to pass a pre-employment & random drug and alcohol testing during the placement period.
