A reputable rubber manufacturing factory in Berrinba, a critical supplier to the mining sector, is seeking an enthusiastic Order Expeditor to join their team. This is an immediate start opportunity, offering a chance to contribute directly to a vital industry.
This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and timely production and dispatch of all orders. As an Order Expeditor, you will be the driving force behind the efficient flow of orders, working within both the production and logistics departments to guarantee quality control and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Diligently track orders from inception to dispatch, proactively identifying potential delays and implementing solutions to prevent disruption;
Collaborate closely with the production team to understand lead times, prioritize urgent orders, and ensure adherence to production schedules;
Play a key role in monitoring quality control processes throughout both production and logistics, identifying potential issues and working towards solutions to maintain high standards;
Act as a proactive problem solver, addressing any obstacles that arise during the order fulfilment process, from material shortages to logistical challenges;
Maintain clear and concise communication with internal stakeholders, including production managers, logistics staff, and sales representatives, providing regular updates on order status and potential issues;
Accurately maintain records of order progress, inventory levels, and any relevant documentation.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
This role demands a highly organized and proactive individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. While specific experience in rubber manufacturing is not mandatory, a background in a related manufacturing or logistics environment is highly advantageous. Key attributes include:
Certification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics- Preferred;
Training with Lean Six Sigma or similar- Preferred;
Valid High Risk Forklift licence- Preferred;
Experience using ERM systems- SAP, Oracle or similar;
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various teams;
Proven problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically under pressure;
Experience in tracking orders and managing production timelines;
Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry and basic spreadsheet usage;
A proactive and solution-oriented approach.
